According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the 3 U.S. states that added the highest not seasonally adjusted number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry in July, 2003 were:

  1. Alaska: 6,300
  2. Oklahoma: 2,100
  3. Oregon: 1,400

On the other hand, the 3 U.S. states that added the lowest not seasonally adjusted number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry in July, 2003 were:

  1. Michigan: -50,200
  2. Ohio: -17,800
  3. California: -14,500
