According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2003:

  1. Michigan: 3,000
  2. Maine: 1,100
  3. Virginia: 900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2003:

  1. California: -9,400
  2. Pennsylvania: -3,300
  3. Alaska: -3,200
