According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2004:

  1. Alabama: 1,100
  2. Arizona: 1,100
  3. Georgia: 1,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2004:

  1. California: -19,500
  2. Michigan: -4,300
  3. Alaska: -3,900
