According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2005:

  1. California: 7,500
  2. Alaska: 7,000
  3. Washington: 4,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2005:

  1. Michigan: -37,500
  2. Missouri: -11,900
  3. Kentucky: -8,500
