According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2005:

  1. Washington: 15,000
  2. Mississippi: 2,600
  3. Missouri: 700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2005:

  1. California: -17,100
  2. Alaska: -4,400
