According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2005:

  1. Michigan: 5,000
  2. Florida: 1,100
  3. Arkansas: 1,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2005:

  1. Washington: -13,200
  2. Louisiana: -8,600
  3. Mississippi: -5,600
