According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2006:

  1. Alaska: 4,300
  2. Delaware: 1,400
  3. South Dakota: 100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2006:

  1. Michigan: -20,500
  2. California: -18,900
  3. Ohio: -10,000
