According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. Wisconsin: 10,500
  2. California: 8,000
  3. Texas: 7,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. South Carolina: -300
  2. District of Columbia: 0
  3. West Virginia: 100
