According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2007:

  1. Alaska: 6,400
  2. California: 5,200
  3. Kansas: 1,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2007:

  1. Michigan: -30,300
  2. Ohio: -13,600
  3. Kentucky: -7,300
