According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2007:

  1. California: 4,500
  2. New York: 2,300
  3. Minnesota: 2,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2007:

  1. Mississippi: -700
  2. Florida: -500
  3. Alaska: -500
