According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2007:

  1. Kentucky: 2,800
  2. Missouri: 400
  3. Louisiana: 200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2007:

  1. Alaska: -4,900
  2. Ohio: -4,100
  3. California: -4,000
