According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2008:

  1. Missouri: 1,000
  2. Minnesota: 800
  3. Maine: 400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2008:

  1. Michigan: -9,400
  2. California: -5,500
  3. North Carolina: -5,000
