According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2008:

  1. California: 2,600
  2. Michigan: 2,600
  3. Missouri: 2,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2008:

  1. Illinois: -3,400
  2. New York: -1,600
  3. Georgia: -1,600
