According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2008:

  1. New Jersey: 600
  2. Kansas: 500
  3. New York: 300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2008:

  1. Michigan: -12,700
  2. Ohio: -7,400
  3. Indiana: -5,400
