According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2009:

  1. Alaska: 5,400
  2. Minnesota: 3,000
  3. Massachusetts: 500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2009:

  1. Ohio: -9,500
  2. Michigan: -8,700
  3. Georgia: -4,600
