According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2009:

  1. Maine: 300
  2. Montana: 200
  3. Hawaii: 0

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2009:

  1. Michigan: -19,800
  2. Ohio: -12,500
  3. Indiana: -11,000
