According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2009:

  1. Indiana: 1,700
  2. Maine: 500
  3. Iowa: 400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2009:

  1. California: -12,600
  2. Michigan: -3,600
  3. New York: -3,500
