According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2010:

  1. Indiana: 3,900
  2. Illinois: 1,900
  3. Ohio: 1,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2010:

  1. California: -4,100
  2. Alaska: -2,000
  3. Idaho: -700
