According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2011:

  1. California: 4,000
  2. Michigan: 3,600
  3. Georgia: 3,300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2011:

  1. Massachusetts: -1,000
  2. Maryland: -600
  3. New Jersey: -500
