According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2011:

  1. Alaska: 7,300
  2. California: 5,200
  3. Minnesota: 3,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2011:

  1. Michigan: -5,000
  2. Kentucky: -4,200
  3. Indiana: -3,400
