According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2012:

  1. Kentucky: 1,100
  2. Idaho: 800
  3. Oklahoma: 800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2012:

  1. California: -12,000
  2. Alaska: -3,800
  3. Ohio: -3,100
