According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2013:

  1. Michigan: 1,600
  2. Louisiana: 1,300
  3. Georgia: 1,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2013:

  1. California: -8,200
  2. Alaska: -5,200
  3. Ohio: -700
