According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2015:

  1. Michigan: 7,500
  2. California: 7,300
  3. Ohio: 4,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2015:

  1. Alaska: -900
  2. Oklahoma: -600
  3. Arkansas: -400
