According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2016:

  1. California: 4,500
  2. Ohio: 1,500
  3. Indiana: 1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2016:

  1. Alaska: -1,900
  2. Oklahoma: -600
  3. Mississippi: -300
