According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2016:

  1. New York: 900
  2. Missouri: 700
  3. New Jersey: 500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2016:

  1. California: -13,200
  2. Alaska: -2,700
  3. North Carolina: -1,600
