According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2017:

  1. Indiana: 3,400
  2. Ohio: 3,100
  3. Illinois: 2,300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2017:

  1. Minnesota: -1,400
  2. Alaska: -1,200
  3. New York: -600
