According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2018:

  1. Ohio: 3,300
  2. Michigan: 2,000
  3. Illinois: 1,500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2018:

  1. California: -1,200
  2. Alaska: -1,000
  3. New York: -700
