According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2018:

  1. Michigan: 1,900
  2. Florida: 1,700
  3. Ohio: 1,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2018:

  1. California: -6,700
  2. Alaska: -3,100
  3. Nebraska: -600
