According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2020:

  1. California: 6,300
  2. Michigan: 5,800
  3. New York: 4,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2020:

  1. Alaska: -3,700
  2. Louisiana: -900
  3. Iowa: -700
