According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2021:

  1. Mississippi: 1,800
  2. Indiana: 1,400
  3. Michigan: 1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2021:

  1. Alaska: -4,100
  2. Ohio: -3,300
  3. Minnesota: -3,200
