According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Non-Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2003:

  1. California: 2,900
  2. Michigan: 1,600
  3. New York: 1,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Non-Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2003:

  1. North Carolina: -3,300
  2. Texas: -3,100
  3. South Carolina: -1,600
