According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Non-Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2006:

  1. California: 3,700
  2. Texas: 1,600
  3. Michigan: 1,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Non-Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2006:

  1. Alaska: -1,000
  2. North Carolina: -700
