According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Non-Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2006:

  1. California: 2,400
  2. Washington: 1,300
  3. Louisiana: 1,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Non-Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2006:

  1. Alaska: -5,000
  2. Wisconsin: -2,300
  3. Pennsylvania: -1,200
