According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Non-Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2008:

  1. Arkansas: 400
  2. Kansas: 200
  3. California: 100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Non-Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2008:

  1. Alaska: -4,600
  2. Ohio: -1,800
  3. Indiana: -1,600
