According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Private Service Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. California: 63,500
  2. Texas: 58,300
  3. New Jersey: 45,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Private Service Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. South Carolina: -5,400
  2. Mississippi: -1,400
  3. Georgia: -1,100
