According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Private Service Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2006:

  1. Texas: 67,700
  2. California: 64,800
  3. Florida: 64,300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Private Service Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2006:

  1. Vermont: 800
  2. Wyoming: 1,800
  3. South Dakota: 1,800
