According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Private Service Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2007:

  1. New York: 67,300
  2. California: 62,900
  3. Michigan: 50,500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Private Service Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2007:

  1. District of Columbia: -3,300
  2. Florida: -600
