According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Private Service Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2010:

  1. Florida: 42,900
  2. California: 32,600
  3. New York: 32,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Private Service Providing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2010:

  1. Maryland: -23,100
  2. New Jersey: -10,500
  3. Kentucky: -3,700
