According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2004:

  1. California: 16,000
  2. New York: 15,100
  3. Illinois: 12,600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2004:

  1. South Dakota: 0
  2. New Mexico: 200
  3. Mississippi: 300
