According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2006:

  1. California: 5,500
  2. Florida: 5,300
  3. Texas: 4,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2006:

  1. New York: -6,100
  2. Massachusetts: -3,300
