According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2008:

  1. Mississippi: 600
  2. Nevada: 300
  3. Arkansas: 200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2008:

  1. New York: -13,000
  2. Illinois: -10,000
  3. California: -8,100
