According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2009:

  1. Michigan: 12,300
  2. Indiana: 2,400
  3. Nevada: 2,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2009:

  1. California: -10,200
  2. New York: -6,200
  3. Illinois: -5,900
