According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2002:

  1. New York: 14,200
  2. California: 13,900
  3. New Jersey: 8,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2002:

  1. Florida: -4,100
  2. Oklahoma: -700
  3. Alabama: -500
