According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2006:

  1. Texas: 10,600
  2. Florida: 7,800
  3. California: 5,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2006:

  1. Vermont: -200
  2. District of Columbia: -100
  3. Minnesota: 100
