According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2007:

  1. New York: 9,900
  2. California: 9,300
  3. Ohio: 5,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2007:

  1. Alaska: -1,100
  2. Arkansas: -400
  3. Delaware: -100
