According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2009:

  1. California: 47,700
  2. Florida: 28,000
  3. New York: 22,500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2009:

  1. Alaska: 100
  2. District of Columbia: 600
  3. Montana: 700
