According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2013:

  1. California: 21,500
  2. Florida: 14,300
  3. New York: 12,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2013:

  1. Alaska: -1,100
  2. Hawaii: 0
  3. Mississippi: 100
