According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2014:

  1. Ohio: 9,500
  2. Illinois: 6,800
  3. New York: 6,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2014:

  1. Hawaii: -200
  2. North Dakota: 300
  3. Mississippi: 400
