According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2016:

  1. California: 10,800
  2. Florida: 10,000
  3. New York: 9,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2016:

  1. Oklahoma: -700
  2. Nevada: -600
  3. New Mexico: -500
