According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2016:

  1. California: 13,000
  2. Minnesota: 2,200
  3. Colorado: 2,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2016:

  1. New York: -1,800
  2. Connecticut: -1,400
  3. Michigan: -1,000
